Witnesses hypnotized, mental vacation, on coming back paralyzed
Media prophesize, blankets of old lies, lobotomize
Ubiquit-assimilate, altered status on visual stimulate
Activate hate, triggered by the state, manipulate
World what are we coming to, fuck are we gonna do
Fear of the truth in the light, right in front of you, front of you
Homelessness and mental illness are at an all-time high, It’s everywhere
While deep pocketed politicians claim to change emissions, yeah right
Promises promises, but they never follow through like I thought
Does my vote really count, what are we gonna do, you tell me
Perversions of quality, speak to the masses, dreams of equality, illusion of scarcity
Security heresy, just a parody
Divided and demonized, indoctrinate, education is socializing
Now you may realize, blind eyes criminalizing
World what are we coming to, fuck are we gonna do
Fear of the truth in the light, right in front of you, front of you
This is what’s happening, caught in a trap again
Bank enforced terror, and paid politician
Trying not to suffocate between a pandemic and the followers of a deranged puppet
I can’t breathe
Cause and effect, you try and they reject, and I’m this close to saying fuck it
Fuck this shit, but what are we gonna do
You tell me
Before Anthrax collaborated with Public Enemy, before Rage Against The Machine tore up the DNC convention, and before Limp Bizkit shredded Woodstock, there was a band called Mordred from the Bay Area of San Francisco, California that started it all.

Quite a departure from the wild territories they ventured into with their major label releases. So far, the greatest thrash metal I've heard released in the 2020's. Plus, it's not everyday you hear Rhea Perlman on a metal record. t0cktock

Buying before listening. A friend just told me he heard it and liked it, and I was not aware they had released anything new since ‘93. Gotta show my support for Bay Area thrash metal.
Their 1988 debut Eternal Nightmare is one of the best thrash albums to come out of the original scene. Their ‘later’ stuff didn’t have the punch of the debut, largely due to the vocals, the merits of which are debated to this day. I’m in the LOVE THE FUCKING DEBUT VOCALS camp.
Let’s see what they’ve done now… Lute FP
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
